Crucible Lusaka is being featured in a new three-part television series produced by Lumen TV, exploring how schools can prepare young people with the skills and competencies needed for life after school. The first episode was filmed in early October, with the final programme to be recorded in November. The series will air between now and Christmas, reaching audiences across Zambia.

With Zambia’s new curriculum placing greater emphasis on the teaching of skills and competencies, the partnership offered a chance to showcase how Crucible’s approach aligns with this national direction.
Each programme focuses on a different aspect of our curriculum. The first explores how practical science enables students to apply academic knowledge through hands-on experiments and discovery.
The second highlights the Liberal Arts course, which builds students’ critical thinking, communication and presentation skills. The third will feature the leadership and teamwork developed through a student project at the Livingstone Museum.
Both teachers and students will share their experiences on camera, offering an authentic glimpse into daily life at Crucible Lusaka. While the filming continues, the excitement across campus reflects pride in the work being done and the opportunity to share it more widely.
